Through modularised courses The Academy provides the opportunity for in-depth units of study across a broad range of subject content in the Science of Instruction, with an initial focus on Effective Instruction in Reading and Spelling and Positive Teaching and Learning.

Our courses expand educators’ knowledge and skills in evidence-based teaching, as well as focusing extensively on the application of best practice in the classroom.

Qualified professionals with deep knowledge, expertise and research credentials develop and present each module.

Five from Five expands to support educators and families

As mentioned in the Education Daily article, ‘Community reading initiative expands to support educators and families’, published on 28 January 2025, community education initiative, Five from Five has transitioned to be part of The Academy for the Science of Instruction.

Five from Five joins The Academy for the Science of Instruction

Educators and families will soon have access to a broader range of resources and professional learning opportunities to support effective, evidence-based reading instruction for children. This follows the transfer of the community education initiative Five from Five to The Academy for the Science of Instruction.
