Having spent over 50 years researching and writing in educational psychology and special education, Kevin is recognised internationally as a leading authority in reading assessment and instruction and in classroom behaviour management. Director of Macquarie University Special Education Centre (MUSEC) for over 20 years, he is now an Emeritus Professor of Macquarie University and Chairman of MultiLit Pty Ltd.
Kevin is the author of over 350 academic books, chapters, and journal articles. His academic standing is recognised by his Fellowship of the prestigious Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, the British Psychological Society, the College of Preceptors, the College of Educational and Child Psychologists of the Australian Psychological Society and the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities. In 2011 he was made a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia for his services to education. For many years, he has consulted to government and other agencies at both federal and state levels.
